Patricia Raye launched her band project, Luscious Moov, on February 29, 2008 at the Snap Gallery.  With the assistance of multi-instrumentalist Nick Apivor and DJ Luis Machuca, Patricia set out the create music that bridged the boundaries of jazz and house music.  

"...a room full of people feeling sexy and loved..." is Patricia's aspiration for Luscious Moov's performances. That being said, the band has several personas. As a party band Luscious Moov has performed high energy shows at such venues as Ginger 62, opening night for Vancouver's Pride Festival, Whistler's Telus Ski & Snowboard Festival, the Starlite Casino. The band nujazz sets are at home in a variety of downtown restaurants.

The band's performances combines a mix of originals, standards, and contemporary favorites drawing from jazz traditions of the Crusaders, vibes master Roy Ayers, and Brazilian composer Antonio Carlos Jobim, to more contemporary artists like the soulful Erykah Badu, Sade, plus a measure of house music tunes by Tortured Soul and Chuck Love.
